White on White

IMG_3414IMG_3404IMG_3393 IMG_3405 IMG_3408 IMG_3420You know it’s winter time when I bring out my one and only fur jacket. Out of everything that I have in my closet, no matter where it was purchased in the world, this jacket is by far my favorite clothing item that I own. If something ever happened to it, I would just die. It goes with every single outfit. It’s timeless and fierce. Period. I wore this little outfit on Friday night date night. White on white is always chic when it’s done right. I added some pops of color, as you should, with my necklace, lips and statement pocket. I bet you’re all so sick of me wearing these booties but I’m not sick of wearing them. They go with every fall outfit and are the comfiest shoes that I own. I adore them. Sorry NOT sorry. But what I am sick of…is my hair. I’m in need of a fresh haircut and color. My hair has totally been annoying me lately so pulling it back, out of my face, is the best option for me right now. Mom, (my hairdresser) where are you when I need you? I need your magic touch!  🙂

I Love Me a Pink Trench Coat

IMG_2848 IMG_2851 IMG_2854 IMG_2868 IMG_2869 IMG_2879 IMG_2881 IMG_2882 I discover something new about my personal style every single day. I’ve realized that I absolutely love simplicity but only if the simple pieces are paired with something eye catching and bold. Every outfit I wear HAS to have something that can turns heads or else I don’t want to wear it. I think I nailed it with this light pink trench coat. I kept the outfit plain and comfortable but adding this colorful outerwear took it to the next level. My kind of level. My every day style is minimal with hints of bold and accents of color. My style is honestly eclectic but when I don’t have time to plan a fabulous outfit…I keep things very minimal and quite simple. That’s just easier for me some days. You may have also picked up on the fact that I don’t care to accessorize a whole lot. I’m the pickiest person of all time when it comes to wearing necklaces. I don’t really know what I like. It’s like they can’t make a necklace out there that’s perfect for me. I own maybe thirty necklaces and I only wear two or three. My kind of accessorizing is just some statement studded earrings. That’s about it. I own a thousand of those. These “Rocket” jeans give me some kind of confidence. I’ve never owned a pair of jeans that fit me so well. I think because they’re high waisted I feel like I can do more with them. You all know I love me some high waisted bottoms. Okay, I’m signing off for now my friends. See you in the next post. Don’t forget to like my new Facebook page, the link is below, that will make me all sorts of happy.

Daisies on a Chilly Day

IMG_2774 IMG_2777 IMG_2783IMG_2793 IMG_2787IMG_2780On a windy November day in Denver, Colorado I made a common fashion mistake. The Weather: 1 Me: 0 I wore a dress and heels on our first snowfall of the season. I told myself that I didn’t care what the weather was like, I was going to wear this outfit no matter what. I’ve had this little number in my head for weeks and I was so excited to finally wear this dress that’s been sitting in my closet for months. My boyfriend warned me but I didn’t listen. We snapped these pictures in under 60 seconds because I was absolutely freezing. (Can’t you tell by my expression? Ha.) The wind was like ice. I didn’t completely sacrifice my outfit though. I went home and put on some grey leggings and my trusty brown combat boots. I should have done that in the first place because that outfit was cute too. I would say that I’ve learned my lesson and I that I should pay more attention to the weather but I know how I am. I don’t like letting the weather win but I definitely need to be a little smart about making my outfit decisions. We all make these mistakes. It’s part of the journey. My biggest tip is to be weather conscious but still remain yourself. I wanted to wear this dress and I did. I’m proud of myself for not letting the weather choose my outfit for me.

Little Leather Jacket

IMG_2714IMG_2706 IMG_2715 IMG_2737IMG_2719 IMG_2730

IMG_2732Everyone talks about the LBD. Little Black Dress. But I’m here to talk about my LLJ. Little Leather Jacket. Your LBD is honestly NBD compared to your LLJ. OMG. I just have to LOL. Okay, enough of that. I cannot stress enough how much I love my new Zara leather jacket. Every girl needs one in their life. Finding the right jacket that fits your personality the best can be difficult. You have to consider a number of things: the color, the cut, the weight, the texture, and the fit are all important factors that make the perfect leather jacket that’s just for you. Finding the right one is so rewarding. I’m still waiting to find the perfect black leather jacket. (I can’t believe I don’t own one of those) I will someday though. I’m picky as heck when it comes to outerwear so if you’re anything like me, you know patience is key. The right little guy will come around. I’m a lucky girl for snatching this beauty up. It was on the Zara website for maybe a day before it sold out. I don’t get that kind of luck often when it comes to shopping. It’s been freezing here in Denver and this jacket hasn’t disappointed me yet. It’s so cozy and warm. I found my wardrobe staple for this fall/winter and many more to come. So far, my favorite way to style this jacket is with some boyfriend jeans and heels. I would normally wear some bold lipstick but I decided to keep the look neutral with a simple nude lip.

Just so you know, you’re one in 7 billion. You’re extremely special so the way you dress should totally reflect that! Being you is the best thing to be. You’ll find your style and your rhythm. Just be sure you don’t steal someone else’s hard work in the progress because that’s not cool. Be you.

Paint Me Pretty

IMG_2431 IMG_2438 IMG_2440 IMG_2450 IMG_2452IMG_2447My top reminds me of an artist taking it’s canvas by storm. It reminds me of a love affair between the paintbrush and the neon paint. I love the chaos in this blouse. It’s so beautiful. I’ve been trying harder to buy more color because neutrals never seem to let me down. I think it’s safe to say that I bought a top that’s more than just colorful. I definitely needed it in my closet. It will totally outshine most of the things that I own. Being colorful isn’t such a bad thing people. I would like to let you guys in on who has been my fashion inspiration lately. I recently caved in and bought Netflix. Big mistake. BIG MISTAKE. I haven’t left my bed in days because all I’ve been watching is “The Carrie Diaries.” It’s the prequel to “Sex and The City” and oh my gosh… I’m in love. I thought older Carrie Bradshaw was my idol but I think younger Carrie Bradshaw has my heart. Her style is just impeccable. It’s bright, innocent, put together, and totally 80’s chic. I never thought I would like 80’s fashion until I started watching this show. It’s not just the typical 80’s kind of fashion…IT’S SO MUCH MORE. I truly truly truly cannot get over it. The costume designer for the show needs to become my best friend, like pronto. I wish I was the younger Carrie Bradshaw. She works for a fashion magazine for crying out loud. I strive to be her. If you haven’t watched it, I suggest you should. Put on your favorite pair of hoop earrings, a tutu skirt, leg warmers and get started. You will be addicted in no time. Anyways, young Carrie Bradshaw kind of inspired this bright neon outfit. I hope I didn’t let her down.
