About

Look at you, you’re here…and that makes me happy.

A b o u t   M e

My name is Karissa. I’m a small town girl from New Mexico. I married the love of my life, Wyatt on April 22nd, 2016 in Pasadena, California. After the wedding, we packed our bags and headed to NYC. We lived in the Big Apple for about a year. We’re grateful for the experience it gave us but happy to be back home in New Mexico where our roots are. I like spending my days in bed, watching Netflix, and eating all things unhealthy. I’m just an honest girl with big dreams and a big heart to match. I’m so happy to share my thoughts, my style, and my dreams with those that want to hear it. I blog about fashion, inner beauty, positivity and love. Subscribe if you’re into that kind of thing.

We became pregnant with our twin boys, Asa Jai and Armie Nixon. I gave birth to our stillborn angels on March 24th, 2017. They are the greatest, most precious things to have ever happened to us. We miss them tremendously. We’re just trying to piece ourselves back together after stillbirth, one day at a time.

On May 15th, 2018 we welcomed our rainbow baby, Everly Avenue Rain. She was born at 6:01 A.M. on a Tuesday morning weighing 5 pounds, 12 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long. She is the light of our lives and the peace of our hearts. We are absolutely elated that she chose us to be her parents. We are thankful that God picked us for this difficult journey because it led us straight to her.

Thanks for being a part of my story. I hope you enjoy the ride.

With love,

  1. Hi!
What type of cannon do you use? Do you take your own photos of do you have a photographer? I love your fashion photography! I have a cannon but I’m not super great at using it. What setting do you use?
    Thanks for reading!

  2. I just saw your bumpdate post and I was wondering if you would allow me to share your some of your bumpdate pictures on my site, the Maternity Gallery. I feature week by week pregnancy pictures so moms-to-be can get a sense of just how different each pregnancy is. A lot of moms-to-be have found it helpful and reassuring — you might too! If you have a minute, would you take a look at the site and see what you think? I included the link below.

If you are interested in sharing I can include a link back to you from each photo, or the photos can be posted anonymously, whichever you prefer.

I hope you are feeling great and I look forward to hearing from you soon! Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

    Jennifer
