When In SoHo

NYC was pleasantly hit with a wave of sunshine after a week full freezing wet weather. I was happy I hadn’t put away my summer pieces, not that I have anywhere to put them in our tiny one bedroom apartment but still happy I didn’t give up on them too early. On this perfect 70 degree day, Wyatt and I had breakfast in SoHo and explored the area before he had to rush off to work. I walked past an actor from one of my favorite movies in high school, spent some time on Prince street and did a little shopping. Soho is like another world. Since living in New York I’ve discovered that I enjoy lower Manhattan more than any part of the island. It’s so peaceful and looks like a movie set on every corner.

Cozy In Central Park

You haven’t lived if you haven’t seen Central Park in the Fall. It’s my favorite place in Manhattan. Once the leaves have changed color and the hot chocolate in my hand is warm…well good luck getting me out of there. I could stay for hours and hours reading a book, pondering life with Wyatt and strolling the paths on foot or on a bike. There’s no better way to do Central Park in the fall than being cozy in a vibrant and patterned cardigan. I decided to transform this stunning cardigan into a dress and cinched with a belt. I love the way it turned out.

Vintage Shopping

Wyatt and I did an impromptu photo shoot right outside the most epic pop-up vintage fashion market in Brooklyn where I met THEE Stacy London from “What Not To Wear.” She was incredible by the way, so humble and kind. Fun Fact: When I was young I would watch “What Not To Wear” over and over and it was the first time I decided that I wanted a future in fashion.

It was a rainy day in Brooklyn. Every step was a puddle. If you look closely you can see raindrops in these photos, frozen in time. I loved this day of exploring Brooklyn with my husband. I love rainy days! It makes me feel less guilty about wanting to stay inside and watch movies all day. It’s been proven, no matter what miraculous city I live in, I will always remain a homebody.

Dumbo? Always.

IMG_4745 IMG_4729 IMG_46994 IMG_4714

It’s official. We have fallen in love with DUMBO, Brooklyn.

Dumbo stands for Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass.

Don’t worry, I learned that just yesterday. We’ve only graced Dumbo with our presence twice since moving to New York, however, it’s been one of our favorite spots. We love the atmosphere, food, and cobble stone streets. There’s a restaurant on Front Street called “Front Street Pizza” that has everything you could possibly want: Sandwiches, Pizza, Pasta, Soup, and Salads. Don’t let the actual restaurant itself or it’s aesthetic fool you…the food is BOMB and they give you a ton of it for the price.

About the look: You already know my love, more like obsession, with jumpsuits. I absolutely love the femininity of the floral design with a touch ruffle. It’s material is so soft and silky, it will leave you feeling comfortable and sexy all night long!
