A Colorful Mess

Looking put together in my not-so-put-together life is sometimes the only remedy I can think of to help get me through. A colorful mess. A beautiful wreck. Whatever you want to call it, I’m just trying to get by. I knew fashion played a huge part of my life when I began to feel confident, pretty, and just important when I wore an outfit that I loved. I’m a firm believer that even though fashion doesn’t cure anything or fix all of my problems (wouldn’t that be nice?) … it can lighten your mood and lift your spirits a little bit to get you through the day.

Sometimes that’s all we need when it feels like the whole world is crashing down on you…A pretty dress and an empty smile.

Gingham Jumpsuit? Yes Please.

If you’re a fan of the gingham trend then you’re gonna love this jumpsuit. If you’re not a fan…you better become a fan because this funky fun trend is here to stay. I’m so obsessed with all things gingham right now, I think I may need a little help, like, mental help. I was in Pottery Barn the other day and almost spent over $100 on gingham printed pillows. The addiction is real.

Please tell me this jumpsuit is perfect for summer and perfect for the fourth of July. You better believe I’ll be wearing this number this time next month and probably 100 times in between.

Gotta Love Paper Bag Trousers

Paper Bag Trousers: Because who has time for jeans anymore? If I ever want to spice up a simple top while still wanting to remain comfortable, I ALWAYS, hands down, no question about it, reach for my plethora of bowtie trousers. My wardrobe wouldn’t be anything without them. This lilac shade brings sunshine to my days like no other. I absolutely love how simple, yet girly this outfit is. It speaks volumes to my ultra feminine side.

A Blue Summer

A blue summer it is.

I have a lot of very special pieces in my wardrobe that I will cherish for so many different reasons and pieces that I will never get rid of and some I may even hold onto just to pass down to my daughters someday. This jumpsuit is one of those really special pieces to me. It is beautifully made and carefully stitched to perfection. The price tag is something I wouldn’t normally consider, and trust me I got it during a promotion but I just knew it would be a piece in my wardrobe that I would just love until the end of time. You can see it for yourself that it’s stunningly sweet with just a hint of sexy with the open back. I got endless amounts of “I LOVE YOUR OUTFIT!” when I wore this the other day. It makes a girl feel good and that’s just worth it to me.

Not to mention I especially love the color blue nowadays. I like to the think I’m representing my love to my little boys. Silly, but it’s the truth.
