What Does The Fox Say?

I’m completely obsessed with these fox printed tights. They stole the show! They kept me warm and comfortable the entire day. I wish Anthropologie would make more fun printed tights because I would wear them every single day. Too fun! Wearing printed tights makes outfit planning a little bit easier to be honest. All the attention is on the tights so pairing them with simpler pieces is the best way to go. I went with a black shift dress, heeled booties, and a camel colored blazer to top it all off. This outfit has definitely been one of my favorite and easiest outfits this fall. I love the last picture in this post. Our friend Christian behind the camera is always making Wyatt and I laugh.

Color and Converse

It’s safe to say that I have a Thanksgiving hangover. I have leftovers for days. My belly is at full capacity and my entire family went back home today. It’s back to reality. I know I moved far away to be on my own and start my life but it’s never fun saying goodbye to your loved ones. I don’t have a whole lot of friends or family here in Denver. It can get pretty lonely sometimes for Wyatt and I. It was nice to have my parents, my brother, Averie, and 3 kids keeping me occupied all weekend. I already miss my niece and nephews so much. Not waking up to their cute little voices in the morning makes me kind of sad. I didn’t get much sleep at all over the weekend but it’s all so worth it because family time is the best, beauty sleep can wait. We did a whole lot of eating, laughing, dancing, playing, shopping and celebrating. My twin nieces turned 6 on Black Friday and my niece Bella turns 4 this Wednesday. This time of year is always extra special because it feels like the love in the family overflows. We are so blessed to have our little ones in our lives. I really can’t imagine anything besides being an aunt. It’s my favorite thing to be. I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends. If you’re at home sitting on your phone or laptop regretting all those rolls you ate like I am right now…let’s just get your mind off of it and try to enjoy this little outfit post. Inspiration is everywhere… even when you’re bloated.

Something Beautiful

Some days more than others I have this sudden urge to dress like a rainbow. Have you noticed that I haven’t worn an all black outfit in forever? I mean that’s so 2013. Just kidding. But really, I wore nothing but black last year. I was honestly going through a lot, more than a lot, and wearing all black seemed to be easier. I felt depressed so why not be stereotypical and where all black? I’ve done a slight 180 since last year. I love to dress and live life in color. I never want that to change. A rainbow signifies a promise, happiness, and sunshine. Not to be cheesy but I’ve made it through the eye of the storm. I’m ready for the rainbow now. With that said not every day can be unicorns and smiley faces. I will always have those dark cloudy days for as long as I live but it’s about taking that sadness and creating something beautiful out of it. I want to be remembered as sunshine… so I’m gonna dress like it.

I hope everyone has a lovely Thanksgiving. Savor the food but also the moments with your loved ones. Take as many pictures as you can and say your “I love you’s.”

I Love Me a Pink Trench Coat

I discover something new about my personal style every single day. I’ve realized that I absolutely love simplicity but only if the simple pieces are paired with something eye catching and bold. Every outfit I wear HAS to have something that can turns heads or else I don’t want to wear it. I think I nailed it with this light pink trench coat. I kept the outfit plain and comfortable but adding this colorful outerwear took it to the next level. My kind of level. My every day style is minimal with hints of bold and accents of color. My style is honestly eclectic but when I don’t have time to plan a fabulous outfit…I keep things very minimal and quite simple. That’s just easier for me some days. You may have also picked up on the fact that I don’t care to accessorize a whole lot. I’m the pickiest person of all time when it comes to wearing necklaces. I don’t really know what I like. It’s like they can’t make a necklace out there that’s perfect for me. I own maybe thirty necklaces and I only wear two or three. My kind of accessorizing is just some statement studded earrings. That’s about it. I own a thousand of those. These “Rocket” jeans give me some kind of confidence. I’ve never owned a pair of jeans that fit me so well. I think because they’re high waisted I feel like I can do more with them. You all know I love me some high waisted bottoms. Okay, I’m signing off for now my friends. See you in the next post. Out & About

I’m not embarrassed to say that I’ve worn this top 3 days in a row. It’s flowy, comfy, roomy, and any other word that ends with “-ey” that you can think of to describe it. This light weight top is all I care about. While strolling around Anthropologie I noticed that I’ve been gravitating more towards the comfortable pieces. With the cold weather here and all, being cozy and comfortable is more important to me. I still have my glam days but I really cannot have too many casual tops. Throwing on a cute hat, ripped jeans and heeled booties is a must for me when it comes to being casual and staying chic. You feel me? I wore this little number out and about in my city… running errands and staying surprisingly warm. It was a nice day to wear something not so heavy for once. Also, I’ve fallen back in love with red lipstick. My holy grail color is a deep plum or mahogany type of lipstick but nowadays I’m loving the look of a simple eye with bold brows and bold deep red lips. I’m telling ya, this outfit would be mediocre without the lipstick. I also have to be honest here, I wore these Alturzarra booties for maybe two hours before I changed into my UGGS. I’m usually one who can handle heels for 8 straight hours but these babies hurt! They’re cute and all but not that cute. I’m a little bummed that they tore up my feet so much. Oh well, beauty is pain. Is that how the saying goes? I can’t remember.

If you’re curious, I’m watching “Jersey Girl”, a classic to me at 1 in the morning because I cannot sleep. I decided to type up a blog post because I truly have nothing else to do. Why did Jennifer Lopez have to die so soon? She’s too beautiful to die in any movie okay! If you’ve been following my blog for awhile you might know that J.LO is my top 3 favorite famous people.
