Little Leather Jacket

Everyone talks about the LBD. Little Black Dress. But I’m here to talk about my LLJ. Little Leather Jacket. Your LBD is honestly NBD compared to your LLJ. OMG. I just have to LOL. Okay, enough of that. I cannot stress enough how much I love my new Zara leather jacket. Every girl needs one in their life. Finding the right jacket that fits your personality the best can be difficult. You have to consider a number of things: the color, the cut, the weight, the texture, and the fit are all important factors that make the perfect leather jacket that’s just for you. Finding the right one is so rewarding. I’m still waiting to find the perfect black leather jacket. (I can’t believe I don’t own one of those) I will someday though. I’m picky as heck when it comes to outerwear so if you’re anything like me, you know patience is key. The right little guy will come around. I’m a lucky girl for snatching this beauty up. It was on the Zara website for maybe a day before it sold out. I don’t get that kind of luck often when it comes to shopping. It’s been freezing here in Denver and this jacket hasn’t disappointed me yet. It’s so cozy and warm. I found my wardrobe staple for this fall/winter and many more to come. So far, my favorite way to style this jacket is with some boyfriend jeans and heels. I would normally wear some bold lipstick but I decided to keep the look neutral with a simple nude lip.

Just so you know, you’re one in 7 billion. You’re extremely special so the way you dress should totally reflect that! Being you is the best thing to be. You’ll find your style and your rhythm. Just be sure you don’t steal someone else’s hard work in the progress because that’s not cool. Be you.

Sparks of Gold

From my necklace, to my shoes, to my trousers you can tell I’m a sucker for gold detailing. These moss colored trousers are perfect. Feminine, yet, slouchy. Which is my favorite type of bottoms. The gold diamonds on them is what stole my heart. I’ll put anything on my body that has some type of gold looking anything on it. I saw these pants at Anthropologie and I said “Take my money right now.” These bottoms aren’t the only thing that stole the show. Let’s talk about this necklace for a second. Just Me and My Bow Tie

Hi there. This extremely girly ensemble would be nothing without the ripped jeans and this adorable bow tie. The bow tie is detachable so I can pair it with anything I feel like and that’s just awesome. With most outfits I wear, I always try and add a little contradiction. I like pairing items in my closet with other things that just aren’t supposed to go together. For example, these completely ripped jeans paired with this tutu-like top totally contradict each other. It’s small and probably insignificant but it’s one of my trademarks. I absolutely love it when people say, “I would have never paired that with this until I saw you do it.” It’s all about being open to the possibilities that one single outfit can bring. Add something edgy to a girly outfit. Add something girly to an edgy outfit. Those are some tips I’m leaving for you. I hope you try it sometime this week. Take baby steps if you have to. Fashion is so much fun but it’s only fun if you join in too.

Today’s Outfit & Being Kylie Jenner for a Day

I hope everyone had an awesome and safe Halloween weekend. I was Kylie Jenner for a day and it wasn’t as fabulous as I hoped it would be. I only wish I was actually Kylie Jenner for a day. That girl has no worries. My sad bank account would have loved to be Kylie Jenner’s bank account as well. I went home, removed my pounds of makeup, and went back to my boring normal life as a girl with two jobs and a bucket list that has more empty boxes than it does with checks through them. I’m not complaining, I enjoy being me but it was definitely a reality check. Dressing up as a 16 year old millionaire puts things in perspective for you. It was kind of depressing. “What am I doing with my life” is a question that I ask myself all too much along with, “When will my dreams come true?” “When will I be happy again?” At the end of the day I’m glad that I am me and no one else. I just wish I had more in my bank account but don’t we all. I’m not gonna lie, I had a fun time playing dress up and wearing makeup and clothes that I normally wouldn’t wear but my question to all of you is…If you could choose who you wanted to be in this life…would you pick you?

If your answer is no than you should do something about that. I think instead of sitting around feeling sorry for yourself (some days that’s me) you should be creating that kind of life for yourself. I know I say this a lot but give yourself a little more credit. Chase those dreams even if they seem galaxies away. I would MUCH rather work my booty off and build character than have it all handed to me. It’s the journey, not the destination, that makes us who we are.

I need a break.

Believe it or not, I don’t like to dress up every-single-day. I’m not even sure if that’s healthy. You need to give yourself a little time out every once in awhile. Put on your favorite pair of ripped up skinny jeans and call it a day my friend. I love days like these a lot because I’m never worried about putting on a show with my outfit. I kind of throw on whatever sounds the comfiest. I still have to be somewhat presentable because I’m usually heading to work or to run errands. I ONLY leave the house looking like a complete slob when it’s past midnight and I’m just headed to the grocery store to grab some chocolate. In and out of Walmart in .30 seconds. That’s the only scenario when it’s right to wear sweats that could fit your boyfriend and a t-shirt that has your dinner from earlier on it. Sadly, that’s some peoples daily wardrobe. Let’s take a moment of silence for those people shall we. Hopefully they find my blog and realize how EASY it is to be comfy but look presentable at the same time. I know most people would choose flats but I’ve honestly trained my feet to wear heels so much that wearing flats might be a struggle. I love my heels. LOVE THEM. A little tip if you’re feeling like your outfit is missing something, always make sure that you give all of your necklaces a little fashion show in the mirror before you make your final outfit decision. Find one that makes you feel beautiful and then I think you’ve found a winner. This outfit would be nothing without this bright orange necklace. (It matches the gorgeous trees behind me.) Ahh…Fall. Why you gotta be so beautiful?
