Menswear Inspired

You guys know I’m all about how an outfit makes you feel. This outfit made me feel amazing. There’s something about the boxy silhouette, stripes, boots, hair pulled back, and overall simplicity that made me feel so menswear-y. (I’m so good with words, aren’t I?) This clean cut look is a definite break from the norm but I loved every second of it. I’m not an outfit repeater but this one is a total exception. I find it satisfying when I style a timeless outfit. Outfits come and go, my passion towards certain trends fade, but once in a while I stumble across a exceptional outfit and that’s such a great feeling. It may be simple but sometimes that’s all a girl really needs. My obsession over boyfriend shaped blazers has gotten a little bit out of hand. I really can’t stop myself from buying one in every single color. They are so much fun and they can really make any ensemble more masculine… but in a tasteful kind of way of course.

Little Blue Dress

Forget the little black dress. Let’s switch things up just a little bit. This shift silhouette is all the rage right now. I have a bunch in my closet for those days when I don’t feel like putting in much effort and when I want my outfit to do all the talking. The boiled wool material makes the outfit a little more cozier and winter appropriate. This little ensemble is acceptable for work functions, girls night, and even date night. I went for a more “everyday” look (everyday for me) by pairing it with a striped turtleneck and statement fox printed tights. Don’t be the girl in the little back dress. Be the one that takes it to a different level with a pretty cobalt blue/green dress. It’s okay to be the oddball sometimes. I prefer it actually. ODDBALLS UNITE!

Button Up.

I do not understand my obsession with moss colored tops. It’s out of control at the moment. It’s just like black or white, it goes with absolutely everything. Weird, but I think it’s such a classy winter color. The unique, almost suede-like, material has me feeling some sort of way. It’s so comfortable and it’s the perfect layering piece. I love pairing turtlenecks with absolutely everything lately, it allows me to keep some of my short sleeve tops for a little while longer. I’ve also had this weird obsession with red lipstick. I still have my trusty dark maroon lipstick in my purse at all times but lately I’ve been reaching for this deep red lip. I’m so festive aren’t I?

By the way, I have a good reason as to why I haven’t been blogging as much. I’ve been moving, traveling and working. Busy busy busy. I can’t wait until I’m finally settled into my new place because I have some fun things planned that may be coming soon. Stay tuned for that. Thanks for all your love and support. Totally Tulle

If you’re in need of some quick and feminine holiday inspired outfits…I’ve got your back girl. I don’t think you could ever go wrong with a tulle skirt and a warm and cozy sweater. Let’s take things up a notch with a statement necklace (that I wear with every single outfit) and some fun bright heels. I love the femininity of this outfit. You can say that it was very “J.Crew” inspired. I’ve been shopping there a little too much lately. The guy that works there knows me on a first name basis. I have a feeling that this teal-ish stitched pullover is going to be my staple wardrobe piece this winter. I find myself reaching for it a lot because I think the color is stunning. I can wear it simple with just black leggings and combat boots or I go all out and pair it with a tulle skirt. Tulle seriously has my heart. I can never get enough of it. Someday, you watch, I will own every single color of tulle skirts.

Ladies, this holiday season, whatever you decide to wear…please do me a favor and don’t skip out on the lipstick. If there’s one time of year to be bold and try lipstick….it’s NOW!

White on White

You know it’s winter time when I bring out my one and only fur jacket. Out of everything that I have in my closet, no matter where it was purchased in the world, this jacket is by far my favorite clothing item that I own. If something ever happened to it, I would just die. It goes with every single outfit. It’s timeless and fierce. Period. I wore this little outfit on Friday night date night. White on white is always chic when it’s done right. I added some pops of color, as you should, with my necklace, lips and statement pocket. I bet you’re all so sick of me wearing these booties but I’m not sick of wearing them. They go with every fall outfit and are the comfiest shoes that I own. I adore them. Sorry NOT sorry. But what I am sick of…is my hair. I’m in need of a fresh haircut and color. My hair has totally been annoying me lately so pulling it back, out of my face, is the best option for me right now. Mom, (my hairdresser) where are you when I need you? I need your magic touch! 🙂
