Blah, Blah, Blah

IMG_9310 IMG_9324 IMG_9317 IMG_9334 IMG_9322 IMG_9314 IMG_9338The rain doesn’t want to stop but neither will I. I refuse to let the weather determine my outfits so I decided to throw in my favorite J.Crew umbrella to protect me from this lousy weather. This umbrella isn’t the only statement piece in this outfit post. I really think this flounce sleeve top and patched jeans are really the ones that catch people’s attention. I cannot express to you enough how much I love this simple combo. I wore this to a Rockies game with Wyatt and threw on a leather jacket because it was an evening game. People would stop me, asking me where I got my ‘over the top’ distressed jeans. I think every girl needs a pair because they really make outfitting so much fun. I love that laid back girly kind of look and I’ve been rocking it non stop so far this summer.

By the way, can you believe it’s already summer? I’ve been happier than normal and I think it’s because it’s finally my favorite time of the year. I’m a summer baby so I was born to love the sunshine. I just want to be outside all the time and I’m not an outdoorsy person. I think when the weather is amazing, you really just fall in love with everything all over again.

It’s so good to be alive.

With Love,

Hampton’s Inspired

IMG_8459 IMG_8476 IMG_8469 IMG_8481 IMG_8466 IMG_8478 IMG_8460When I think of the Hampton’s I immediately picture people running around in Ralph Lauren. Button ups, crisp collars, blazers, sailor stripes and all things J.Crew inspired. Although I have never personally been to that part of the East Coast I definitely think I depicted the Hamptonites’ everyday street style quite perfectly. The second my sailor shorts went on I wanted to catch a flight straight to The Hampton’s because I knew I would fit in. Even though my own personal style isn’t exactly “yacht chic” or “beach ready”, I do love dressing like it from time to time. A put together outfit like this gives the impression that I have it all together. That may be very far from the truth but (sometimes) you have to fake it till you make it. I hope I did the East Coast natives proud and I can’t wait to visit someday and see what all the hoopla is about.

With Love,

Totally Tulle

IMG_3444 IMG_3457 IMG_3462 IMG_3486 IMG_3487If you’re in need of some quick and feminine holiday inspired outfits…I’ve got your back girl. I don’t think you could ever go wrong with a tulle skirt and a warm and cozy sweater. Let’s take things up a notch with a statement necklace (that I wear with every single outfit) and some fun bright heels. I love the femininity of this outfit. You can say that it was very “J.Crew” inspired. I’ve been shopping there a little too much lately. The guy that works there knows me on a first name basis. I have a feeling that this teal-ish stitched pullover is going to be my staple wardrobe piece this winter. I find myself reaching for it a lot because I think the color is stunning. I can wear it simple with just black leggings and combat boots or I go all out and pair it with a tulle skirt. Tulle seriously has my heart. I can never get enough of it. Someday, you watch, I will own every single color of tulle skirts.

Ladies, this holiday season, whatever you decide to wear…please do me a favor and don’t skip out on the lipstick. If there’s one time of year to be bold and try lipstick….it’s NOW!

XOXO,

Karissa
