Butterfly Sleeves

IMG_8719IMG_8737IMG_8700IMG_8721IMG_8708IMG_8714Butterfly sleeves are the epitome of femininity and grace. This stand out detail transforms your dress from simple to statement. I love everything about this dress from the shade, shape, and tie-waist detailing.  I can’t imagine going on a day-date or luncheon without this beauty. I would’ve purchased this dress regardless of the color but this salmon shade is everything that I love. I’ve stepped out of my obsession with Indigo for only a moment and have bought nothing but salmon colored pieces. I think this color is slowly turning into my summer “go-to” shade. I know I will be able to rock this salmon shade now that I’m pale but also when I start getting some color in the upcoming summer months. The light weight material makes it a lot easier to wear on those extremely hot days. Seriously, you can see it for your yourself just how beautiful this dress is. I don’t need to say much else about it. I’ll let the affordable price and pictures do all the talking. Hurry and buy this dress before it sells out! (Link Below)

P.s. I got a size 2 which is technically a size 0 at H&M. I recommend sizing up because the material is not stretchy and there’s no zipper. The tie-waist will cinch everything in.

A Blue & White Dream

IMG_8636 IMG_8657 IMG_8627 IMG_8676 IMG_8639 IMG_8664 IMG_8684 IMG_8651When I first saw this dress appear on my computer screen, I knew that it had to be mine. I fell in love with the Spanish vibes so much that I wish I was actually running around in Spain wearing this dress. Someday I WILL go back and it WILL be magical. I always love finding pieces that reflect my heritage. My whole life I never quite felt like a Hispanic girl. My porcelain skin and my lack of a hispanic vocabulary is reason enough to feel just like a typical white girl amongst my gorgeous dark skin and spanish speaking family. I usually question if I’m adopted but then I look at my mother, who is my twin, and I realize I’m right where I belong. That’s the beauty of fashion. It’s an opportunity to become who you are or even better, become a better you. I only own a few Hispanic inspired pieces in my wardrobe but this one takes the cake. I can’t wait to discover more and more to pass on to my nieces and children. This “off the shoulder trend” is going global and it’s unstoppable right now. I’m loving everything about the 2015 trends so far. I’ve embraced every single one from the bow-tie trousers, Indigo colors, and now, off the shoulder tops.

Isn’t fashion exciting?

Hello There.

IMG_2084 IMG_2108 IMG_2079 IMG_2095 IMG_2099 IMG_2114 IMG_2089 IMG_2078Oh why hello there my friends. You might have noticed I’ve been away for awhile. Maybe a week or so. I want to sincerely apologize for the lack of posts this past week. I haven’t missed a blog post in MONTHS! There are a few reasons as to why I’ve been away and they’re all forgiving ones. I went back home to New Mexico for Mother’s Day. I just needed to be with my family and it was the best trip I’ve had in a long time. I got my green chili and family fix. During this trip, I didn’t wear one ounce of makeup and wore nothing but grey t-shirts and black leggings. It was so nice and relaxing to not worry about my appearance or outfits for once. I also got a nice trim and color while I was there! Thanks mom! My hair feels so fresh again. Another reason as to why I’ve been away: My boyfriend turned 21 yesterday! Part-aye. I cannot believe how old we’re getting. We started dating when we were both 14 years old. Celebrating this huge milestone for him was so amazing and we both had the best day. I cannot wait for the next 21 years. I’ve also been away because the horrible weather Denver has been having. It’s been raining non-stop. It’s beautiful when I’m sleeping but a girl has to take pictures and there’s no way I’m letting my expensive camera get wet. So the weather has NOT been on my side. Once the sun comes out again, I’ll be posting some of my newest summer pieces and I’m so excited to share them with you all.

These pictures were taken months ago. I forgot that they even existed.

Enjoy! Talk to you soon.

The Ice Cream Shop

IMG_8528 IMG_8550 IMG_8535 IMG_8544 IMG_8558 IMG_8537 IMG_8543Why is this post going up later than normal you ask? Because I didn’t sleep for a straight week (Not exaggerating) and now that I’m finally able to sleep again I’m taking full advantage and I slept nearly 12 hours last night. Ahh. There is nothing better than getting a good nights sleep. Okay back to the post. I’m a huge sucker for co-ordinates. I love the look of them. They might just be the easiest, chicest thing that anyone can pull off. I’m always on the hunt for some good co-ordinate outfits but can never really find the right pair. Since I’m still on this Indigo kick, I didn’t hesitate purchasing this denim outfit from Urban Outfitters. Not only does it scream summer but it also screams “Take me to the ice cream shop!” So that’s what I did. I really think co-ordinate outfits are prefect for nearly every occasion but even more so for vacations! Easy to pack and easy to pull off. In other news, I’m almost to 11K on Instagram…Go follow me! Here.

Hampton’s Inspired

IMG_8459 IMG_8476 IMG_8469 IMG_8481 IMG_8466 IMG_8478 IMG_8460When I think of the Hampton’s I immediately picture people running around in Ralph Lauren. Button ups, crisp collars, blazers, sailor stripes and all things J.Crew inspired. Although I have never personally been to that part of the East Coast I definitely think I depicted the Hamptonites’ everyday street style quite perfectly. The second my sailor shorts went on I wanted to catch a flight straight to The Hampton’s because I knew I would fit in. Even though my own personal style isn’t exactly “yacht chic” or “beach ready”, I do love dressing like it from time to time. A put together outfit like this gives the impression that I have it all together. That may be very far from the truth but (sometimes) you have to fake it till you make it. I hope I did the East Coast natives proud and I can’t wait to visit someday and see what all the hoopla is about.
