Culottes & Deleting My Blog

I’ve broken up with jeans and found a new love: Culottes. I love the fact that they are so trendy and fun but more importantly how comfortable and freeing they are. No matter how dressed up I get there’s always one thing that remains important to me and that’s being comfortable in my clothing. There’s nothing I love more than looking fancy and feeling great. Zara has been my one stop shop for all of those things. From business, to everyday, to glam, this store has it all to make a girl feel amazing. They also have mens and kids clothing which is even better. My entire outfit is from Zara. Since I’ve rocked Zara so much over the years, I’ve gotten so many people addicted to it. You’re welcome by the way.

I’ve have been s-t-r-u-g-g-l-i-n-g with typing up these blog posts. Heck, taking the pictures has been the most frustrating part of all. I’m not like most fashion bloggers who their entire job is blogging. Nope not me girlfriend. I have a full time job and responsibilities and don’t have the time or energy like I used to. I guess it’s all part of growing up. Today, for the very first time, I contemplated deleting my blog. I know I know, it’s shocking. I just feel really unsupported and overwhelmed. I feel like I’m the only person that wants this blog to remain successful and fun. I’m not going to name names but it seems like other people that are part of the production of my website, well, their hearts aren’t in it anymore and that’s the most difficult part. I’m not satisfied with the content and I’m just over being the only one that cares. Story of my life actually.

Minimal & Chic

I’ve been loving the minimal look as of late. There’s a combination of things as to why I’ve been rocking this simple look but most of it revolves around on not having the time to get too creative with my outfitting. Settling into my new home and my crazy busy schedule are the main contributors to my lack of focus and drive on fashion blogging. There’s nothing wrong in being a little busy bee. I promise to bring you new fabulous posts here and there once I’m feeling like I have everything under control. But until then, I’ll be wearing what I wear best: Minimal and Chic. This tunic has been the biggest life saver. I’ve ran to this moss colored beauty in times of need and it has never failed me. Just recently, I chose this exact outfit for a much needed date night with Wyatt, and don’t worry, I brought along my trusty black leather jacket to keep things looking spicy. Moss is the easiest color to pull off and combined with this Cloth & Stone fabric it’s a winner on so many levels.

The Confetti Dress

I call this my confetti dress because it looks like a party just threw up all over it. The very moment I laid my eyes on this dress I knew I had found my summer love. The muted pastel polka dots creates such a “I love summer” kind of vibe without being too overwhelming. This is that kind of dress where people will continue to stop, stare and swoon even if you feel like it’s magic has worn off. I, unfortunately, feel like an outfit loses it’s purpose after one go around. Sometimes, I cannot wear an outfit twice, (well I can but I choose not to) because I believe it loses some sort of “magic” that it holds only once or twice of wear. It sounds very foolish but being a fashion blogger, I’m always looking for more. What’s new? What’s in-style? Another positive about being the fashion lover that I am is finding more and more ways to sustain that magic for as long possible. My favorite thing to do, when I’m bored, is reinvent my wardrobe. I love taking oldies but goodies and making them feel like new by adding a trendy piece. That’s a fashionista’s biggest secret. You will see this dress again, in a different form I’m sure. I love wearing things more than twice as long as I make it unique every single time, whether I change up an accessory or shoe, the magic will never stop.

Just like everything else in fashion AND in life, the magic is only there if you allow it to be.

Casual Holiday Outfit

With Independence Day coming up, I wanted to show my excitement and support but in the most understated and minimal kind of way. A lot of people love to dress up in the obvious classic red, white and blue (me being one of the them) but this year I decided to go for a more laid-back kind of look. Nothing says “I’m ready for hot dogs, barbecue, summer drinks and back yard chillin” like boyfriend jeans and a midi top. Am I right? Every year around the 4th of July, I usually go for the obvious choice of a bright red dress or stripes from head to toe but since I’ll be spending this holiday moving into my new place (Yes, I’m moving again. I cannot stay in one place.) I’d much rather be comfortable in my converse than all dressed up and no where to go. I’m very excited to be spending my holiday with my one and only, watching the fireworks on our rooftop and just enjoying each other’s company, like always.

Oh Boy, Another Jumpsuit

I have added yet another jumpsuit to my jumpsuit collection. The spandex-jersey material on this one makes it by far one of the comfiest jumpsuits that I own. I could easily confuse it with loungewear because of it’s exceptional comfort factor. Day after day, I search for more and more prints and more and more patterns of jumpsuits that I can add to my wardrobe. Obsessed is an understatement. I live in jumpsuits because they are the easiest to dress up or down. The elastic band that holds this jumpsuit together is so breathable that I could easily rock this outfit in the future when I’m pregnant (minus the belt, of course.) At first, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the print but after awhile I realized it’s okay to go with neutral colors and leave my lipstick responsible for the pop of statement color. I’ll be wearing this outfit to work then date night (and maybe even to sleep) because it’s that comfortable and movable. What I love the most about this look is my new favorite necklace that I have been eyeing for weeks. Since the moment I finally decided to purchase this jeweled beauty I have been going above and beyond to find tops and dresses that match. I think this jumpsuit was made for this necklace leaving the entire look with a tropical, summer vibe.
