Teal Dream

IMG_0782 IMG_0765 IMG_0775 IMG_0778 IMG_0756 IMG_0781You know when you see a piece a of clothing somewhere in a store and something inside of you just tells you that you can’t live without it? Well, I’ll be honest, I haven’t had that feeling in months and I’m constantly surrounding by beautiful clothes all day long. I don’t know what it is but I go through phases where shopping doesn’t really seem important or doesn’t seem to make me happy. Weird right? I do have to admit I had butterflies the moment I laid my eyes on this teal dream of a tunic. I knew, without question, that I would wear it on double date nights, which I have, casual dinner outings, which I have…and just to feel beautiful, which I have.

Every girl needs something effortless in her closet that makes her feel pretty. This would be that piece for me. I love the pullover styling more and more because I’m always in a rush. It’s material is called spandex-jersey. I don’t even know what that means but I know that I like it. Not to mention the color and the shape looks incredible on every skin tone and every body type. Wow, this dress really is a dream, a dream come true that is.

Pinstripe Jumpsuit

IMG_0826 IMG_0829 IMG_0809 IMG_0840 IMG_0822I recently became a huge fan wide leg jumpsuits. You will not understand the comfort until you try one on for yourself. I cannot get enough of jumpsuits but I’m sure you already knew that if you’ve been a fan of my blog for awhile. I think the wide leg version just stole my heart. I’ve been eyeing this pinstripe beauty for awhile now. I saw my exact size at the Anthropologie in Rockefeller Center and I panicked because I never thought I would be so lucky. I can easily carry this suit into the colder months with a long sleeve underneath or belted with a cardigan.

If you’re loving this statement piece almost as much as I do, you’re in luck. This guy just went on sale! Grab your size before they run out!

Shades Of Grey

IMG_0716 2 IMG_0721 IMG_0707 IMG_0723 IMG_0718 2 IMG_0724 IMG_0717 2I love me some shades of grey. Light grey, dark grey and well, I think that’s all the grey I can think of at the moment. I’ve been searching for the right pair of distressed, mid-rise grey jeans. It’s been a serious struggle but while I was in New York I stumbled across the perfect pair. They have the right amount of distressed and they’re just the right shade of grey. They may be new to my distressed denim collection but I love finding more and more ways to style them. For some reason I just love to add even more grey. Neutral looks are so chic and quite easy to pull off. I always try and add a touch of gold with a statement accessory and keep things elevated with my forever favorite heels.

I’m keeping this post short and sweet because I’m back in my home town spending some quality time with my favorites and my mom just made homemade chocolate chip cookies and I have to eat a few before my brother and dad get to them.

The Mustard Girl

IMG_0503 IMG_0507 IMG_0527 IMG_0501 IMG_0498 IMG_0511

I cannot take any credit for the title of this outfit post because it all goes to my brother who decided to call me “The Mustard Girl” all day long. Hi Nick. I wasn’t mad at all because I think the name is kind of cute. So here I am, with my mustard co-ordinate outfit and all, ready to tell you all about the adventures taken in this outfit in New York City.

This show stopping outfit was perfect to go bike riding around Central Park. Besides getting engaged, this was my absolute favorite part of my birthday trip. I felt like I truly belonged in the city, soaring so fast on my cute baby blue bike with my favorite people riding beside me. I didn’t want this moment to end. I was so sad when our journey around Central Park ended but that sadness didn’t last long because we went straight to 5th Avenue to do a little birthday shopping. I spent more than I intended to at Zara. I have never been inside an actual Zara store, online shopping only, so I went a little crazy in there on numerous occasions. No shame though.

SoHo Girl

IMG_0449 2 IMG_0462 IMG_0446 IMG_0454 IMG_0450 IMG_0460 IMG_0448 IMG_0433

Day 3 in Manhattan was just magical as day one and day two. Freshly engaged and ready to sight see my favorite city in the country with my fiancé. I don’t think life could get any better than this, I really really don’t. We began day three, a Monday, sleeping in from the crazy night before where we celebrated our engagement with drinks and seafood. We went to see the 9/11 Memorial which was a sight I had yet to see. The museum was moving and powerful. I left feeling so lucky to be alive but so saddened that so many people couldn’t live to see today. If you’re visiting anytime soon, I really recommend stopping by. Afterwords I ate one of the best hot dogs at a food stand and strawberry, mango, and banana smoothie.

We headed towards SoHo, the love of my life, to continue shopping and soaking in the NYC vibes. Little Italy was where I fell in love with a little Japanese owned crepe shop. I have no idea how or when I stumbled upon this little hole in the wall but it became my addiction for the next few days. I even became friends with the girl that worked there. Oh, how I wish I could put that yummy crepe shop in my back pocket and take it with me wherever I go. SO GOOD!

After a long, long day of shopping and walking around Soho, we stopped at “The Soho Park” to grab a bite to eat. It was there I had my first ever cosmopolitan. It was a lot more stout than what I had imagined but delicious nonetheless. I was hating how fast my trip was going. I wanted the world to stop in it’s tracks so that I could enjoy the city that I love just a little bit longer. But it was inevitable, the night ended and it was time for bed only to wake to another glorious morning in Manhattan and another jam-packed day of excitement.
