Oh So Delightful

I just need to mention how long my hair is right now! It didn’t grow fast by any means, heck it’s been almost a year since I chopped it off but I’m so pleased at the length that’s its at right now. It’s at that “fashion bob” stage and I think that’s where I like it best. I’ve done the short and the long version and this is by far the most maintainable and “me” cut. My hair has never been so full and healthy and I owe all that to my talented hairstylist, my mother. She takes such good care of my hair and never allows me to damaged it. Never will I ever go lighter again because it took literally years after I did the infamous ombré thing to my hair. I’ll stick with the chocolate brown hair-do for as long as possible. I would love to be a redhead tho. Maybe in a another lifetime right?

Okay enough about hair. Let’s talk fashion, I mean that’s why you’re here right? I actually don’t have much to say besides the fact that I’m absolutely obsessed with this off the shoulder top and I wish I could wear it every single day of my life. This outfit might just be my “go to” summer outfit when I’m just feeling fun and casual. I will definitely take this outfit to a Rockies game and fun backyard barbecue. Be prepared to see this top in the near future. I just love it so much because it’s oh so delightful.

That 70’s Skirt

This post is for those minimal but trendy ladies out there. I always love adding easy, breezy outfits to my blog because it’s very likely that you own similar pieces in your own closets. I’m sure you have a grey crop top and denim skirt… and if you don’t, you should because they are all the rage right now. The 70’s styled denim skirt is so popular at the moment, every store has recently came out with their own versions of it. I also see them every single time I check my Instagram. I feel like I belong on a modern day version of “That 70’s Show.”

One thing I do recommend if you choose to be inspired by this outfit post is to LEAVE THE LEATHER JACKET AT HOME. It was 80 something degrees outside and I was close to having a heat stroke while taking these pictures. I just wanted the jacket for dramatic effect but I nearly died. (Exaggeration is my specialty, can you tell?)

Romper Madness

I have that romper madness syndrome. I can’t do summer without rompers and that’s just a fact. When the sun is blazing, the last thing I want to do is figure out a chic outfit from head to toe. I’d much rather throw on a simple romper, possibly add a belt if I’m in the mood and head out the door. This romper is the perfect summer piece you just have to add to your closet. People thought that this outfit was a top and a bottom but little did they know that I didn’t try that hard. I think that’s what rompers are all about. They give the illusion that you really care but in reality, you don’t. In fact, I’m wearing a romper as I write this post. I’m just obsessed.

These pictures are a little bright to notice the fabulous detailing of the top portion of this romper. The best way for me to describe it is like an eyelet lace type of fabric. Click the link the below to see this detailing for yourself. Beware, you might fall in love.

Minimalistic

There’s something lovely about wearing a minimal, sleek, but still sexy outfit. I had this confidence that I normally wouldn’t have without the help of an outfit like this one. Look at me, I think a boxy blazer is sexy. Yes, yes I do. I’m not someone who feels comfortable showing a lot of skin AND THAT’S OKAY. Ladies, take this advice. More clothing is better. Giving it all up right away isn’t cute. Low key sexy is the best kind of sexy. If all you wear is a rag, that’s how guys are going to treat you. My momma told me that to get respect from people… you must first have respect for yourself. Those are the words I live by. Basically what I’m saying is that you’re worth it. Dress like it.

Heels, in every situation, take a simple outfit to the next level. Little black strappy heels takes the outfit to a whole new level of confidence. Every girl needs a pair. And throw on some dark lips and OH MY GOSH, you’re it girl. YOU.ARE.IT. But when those heels get annoying to wear, don’t be afraid to wear your trusty converse like I did. Converse have my back day in and day out. I will always bring them along for the ride.

I need a break.

Believe it or not, I don’t like to dress up every-single-day. I’m not even sure if that’s healthy. You need to give yourself a little time out every once in awhile. Put on your favorite pair of ripped up skinny jeans and call it a day my friend. I love days like these a lot because I’m never worried about putting on a show with my outfit. I kind of throw on whatever sounds the comfiest. I still have to be somewhat presentable because I’m usually heading to work or to run errands. I ONLY leave the house looking like a complete slob when it’s past midnight and I’m just headed to the grocery store to grab some chocolate. In and out of Walmart in .30 seconds. That’s the only scenario when it’s right to wear sweats that could fit your boyfriend and a t-shirt that has your dinner from earlier on it. Sadly, that’s some peoples daily wardrobe. Let’s take a moment of silence for those people shall we. Hopefully they find my blog and realize how EASY it is to be comfy but look presentable at the same time. I know most people would choose flats but I’ve honestly trained my feet to wear heels so much that wearing flats might be a struggle. I love my heels. LOVE THEM. A little tip if you’re feeling like your outfit is missing something, always make sure that you give all of your necklaces a little fashion show in the mirror before you make your final outfit decision. Find one that makes you feel beautiful and then I think you’ve found a winner. This outfit would be nothing without this bright orange necklace. (It matches the gorgeous trees behind me.) Ahh…Fall. Why you gotta be so beautiful?
