A Girl And Her Pineapple

IMG_2889 IMG_2894 IMG_2876 IMG_2874 IMG_2897

Meet Stanley, Stanley the pineapple. I brought Stanley around with me everywhere I went when in Hawaii. The funny thing is that I don’t actually like eating pineapple all that much but I do love a good photo shoot with one. It’s like the perfect accessory when galloping around town. A guy even asked me, “What in the world are you doing with that pineapple?” Well sir, I don’t even know.

I miss Hawaii, I miss the ocean but what I miss the most is the beautiful scenery. Big, bold and beautiful flowers were on every corner. I felt like I was dreaming. The vibrant colors nearly hurt my eyes. Talk about a fashion bloggers dream.

Let’s talk about checked print for a moment shall we? I’m giving you a heads up now- this fun pattern will be this summers hot trend. I’ve already seen all sorts of variety of the checked pattern in nearly every clothing store I’ve come across and I’m not hating it. I’ve been a sucker and have already purchased enough of it to last me all summer. This dress is one of those purchases and I’m in love.

Sincerely,

Tropical Vacation Outfit

IMG_28188 IMG_2827 IMG_2830 IMG_2824

Tropical Vacation Packing Tip: Only pack flow-y, easy breezy clothing because you won’t want to wear anything else. Just the thought of putting something constricting or form fitting while I was in Hawaii made me cringe. I felt best in my maxi dresses and loose t-shirts. The heat is the main reason you don’t have to wear anything too tight and let’s not forget about the gnarly sunburn you’ll get on your first day of your honeymoon..or was that just me?

Wyatt and I were too eager and did a little sun bathing by the ocean and got burnt our very first day of our honeymoon, I don’t have any regrets though because mine turned into a perfect golden tan just 2 days later but note to future self: you can’t ever pack enough sunscreen.

I bought this beautiful light teal colored maxi dress not just for the honeymoon but for everyday after that. I cannot get over how comfortable this dress is. I’ve always loved maxi dresses, I just don’t own enough in my closet. I’m so happy with this dress purchase because it was under $20! CRAZY! Find out where I purchased this summer staple in the links below.

Laced Up In Hawaii

IMG_2862 IMG_2835 IMG_28554 IMG_2843 IMG_2852 IMG_2831

Hey friends,

I’m back at it again with another blog post. I’ve received a lot of questions about this darling laced crop top. It’s been one of my favorite summer purchases so far because of its delicate detailing and super soft fabric. I absolutely loved bringing it along with me to our honeymoon in Maui. There really is no better place to rock this backless babe like Hawaii. I found myself throwing it on any chance I got until Wyatt said one day, “So, you’re wearing that again?” Okay, okay Wyatt.  I’ll change.

Let’s talk about the shorts. I’ve never been a DIY girl no matter how much I try. I would love to wrap myself up in projects and get swept away by crafts and such but I just don’t have the time for it. One day I was out and about thrift shopping and I came across this wranglers in the kids section. I thought to myself, “There’s no way I would ever rock these but if I just cut them into cute little short shorts…” and BAM! One of my all time favorite denim shorts were born. It’s ridiculous how much denim shorts cost these days and I’m pretty sure I paid a whopping $2 dollars for these-not to mention it took me a total of 60 seconds to cut.

YAY FOR D.I.Y!

Honeymoon In Maui, Hawaii

IMG_2863

Hello there my beautiful readers!

Let’s see, what’s been going on in my life lately. Hmm, I got my nails done. I’ve been eating lots of buttermilk pancakes and trying to snack on more fruits and veggies. Hmm…what else happened?

OH! I GOT MARRIED!

IMG_2865

I guess I should have led with that. Wyatt and I are officially married, officially husband and wife and we cannot be more over the moon about it. I cannot wait to share with you all of the sweet memories of the wedding day. The second I get my hands on the wedding video as well as our beautiful photography photos I will be posting them up on here! So stay tuned.

Wyatt and I just spent our entire day today traveling back to Colorado. I will admit that I missed my bed but not that much. I wish our trip to Hawaii lasted just a little bit longer. I mean, who would ever want to leave paradise and come home to snow and yucky 30 degree weather. Anyways, we are officially unpacked and all settled in. Tomorrow is my first day back at work in two weeks. Oh reality.

Our honeymoon consisted of laying on the beach, boogie-boarding, drinking margaritas, bike riding around town and eating lots of delicious seafood. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten more in my life. From fish tacos to pork nachos to their signature piña coladas- I’m pretty sure I experienced all that the Hawaiian cuisine had to offer. Wyatt took to me to my very first Luau! It was one of our favorite memories. We had LITERALLY the best food on the planet and our host made Wyatt dance on stage in front of everyone. Everyday we watched the sun go down on the beach, I mean, nothing can get more romantic than that right?  IMG_2904

Everything was perfect. Our honeymoon was everything I had ever dreamed of. Hawaii was beyond breathtaking. I’ve never been there and I’m so happy to knock another destination off of my bucket list. We stayed at the Westin Resort and they treated us very well and they even left us champagne in our room!

Every moment of our honeymoon was incredibly special and I will never forget this trip with my husband. That’s right, I said it…HUSBAND.

We are already planning another getaway for this summer.

Let the adventures begin!

With love,

Last Blog Post As A Single Lady

California: 3 Days In Counting

Wedding Day: 6 Days

Here it is, the time has finally arrived. My suitcase is packed and ready to go. It’s filled with honeymoon attire, a rehearsal dress, a beautiful veil, anti-anxiety medication (you never know when the mood will strike) a mountain of swimsuits, a few gowns suitable for a candlelit dinner, heels, converse, back up batteries for the camera, lingerie (again, you never know when the mood will strike) and lots more. I had to purchase the biggest suitcase ever just for this trip because it’s going to be a trip of a lifetime and I didn’t want to chance it. Not only is my suitcase filled with a bride-to be’s must have items but it’s also filled with a bride-to be’s hopes and dreams for the future.

Since I was a little girl I had always imagined what my wedding would be like and here it is…right in front of me. A little anxiety is normal right? A little fear? This is a big day and it’s all quite overwhelming to me. Sometimes I just have stop, close my eyes and take a breather.

Well folks, this is it. This is the last post as a single lady. Next time I talk to you guys I’ll be a married woman. EEE! (Big smile here.)

See you after the honeymoon.

With Love,
