This Outfit Is Delicious

Hello my loves, I’m writing to you at midnight and I have a very busy day tomorrow so I’m going to make this short and sweet. This isn’t like me to be a busy bee but I feel like I haven’t stopped to breathe for a long time. I had such an amazing weekend because my parents came to visit. We ate out a lot and just enjoyed each others company. Another reason why this past weekend was one for the books was because my boyfriend/photographer, Wyatt, entered into a mens physique competition here in Denver and he won First place! Yes! First place. After weeks and weeks of preparing for this competition, eating nothing but chicken and asparagus, sacrificing sweets and going out, I could not be more proud of him for succeeding. He deserved it and I can’t wait for Nationals!

I shouldn’t take all the credit for this outfit because it was definitely inspired by “The Showroom” blog. I have to give credit where credit is due. She is one of my fashion blogger icons at the moment. I saw this fun food printed top on her and just had to buy it because I love the way she styled them with these brick colored shorts. I just adore this fun and daring outfit.

Okay, I don’t think I’m making a whole lot of sense. I’m so tired, I can’t even type. I’m going to watch Netflix until I fall asleep. Until next time my friends.

Local Legend

Graphic tees are one of the funnest things to style, in my opinion. They bring such spunk and voice to your wardrobe. I have so many graphic tees stored away in my closet and once in awhile I’ll bring them out when I’m feeling edgy. Since I have so many tees, I’m never really on a search for more until I saw this “Local Legend” one. I have no idea what made me want this crop top so much but I would spend hours just thinking about how I just had to have it in my life. I don’t even know if Local Legend is a band name but I had to buy it because it does have somewhat truth in my life. Every single time I go back to my home town I get so much love to my blog everywhere I go, from family, ex co-workers, old friends, but mostly strangers. It’s so much fun. I’m not a legend in no way, shape or form, but I like to pretend I am. A fashion legend.

The thing I love about graphic tees is that they can be paired with just about anything. I love rocking them with a leather jacket because those two are a match made in heaven. I wore my olive/brown shorts for comfort and my favorite Zara heels to keep things elevated. You will definitely see this crop top in the near future. I want to wear it all the time because the material just might be the softest material of all time. (I’m so dramatic.)

B Is For Blouse

B is for best blouse ever. Bulky, boxy, blouse-y, you know name it, I want to wear it. I’ve always been a fan of shapeless pieces. I love oversized blouses and dresses more than the average girl should. I think what I love about this blouse in particular is the femininity it brings to any outfit. The relaxed butterfly sleeves make me feel like such a girl but completely relaxed all at the same time. Nothing is better than that in my opinion. I really wanted to dress up this light blue beauty to the max to show you what it’s capable of and what colors look best with this shade of blue. I plan on wearing it with many other bottoms besides this statement tulle skirt. My staple black skinny jeans or my current favorite bow-tie shorts are great candidates as well. The possibilities are nearly endless.

Blouses are beauties thats for sure.

Fun In Fuchsia

Hello again,

Are you someone who feels like you never get a break to just…be. School, work, appointments, life: All these things are great but really time consuming and quite honestly, exhausting. I had one day off this week and it went by so fast. If you’re interested in what I did on that spectacular day, try not to get too excited because all I did was watch Netflix…all by myself. I’ve been hooked on this incredibly cheesy/horrible series and I’m not even going to tell you the name because I’m that embarrassed that it’s guilty pleasure. OH! And I made a birthday cake…just for me. It’s not even my birthday any time soon. I needed a day to just be myself and to do absolutely nothing. A day to lay in bed, pig out on junk food, and wear nothing but leggings and a $2 t-shirt from Target. These days are where I recharge and regroup for another crazy but rewarding week of blogging and working.

Once I’ve done all the necessary things to recharge my battery, I get back on that fashion blogger grind with a bright statement piece to make me feel alive again. There really is nothing like going from a slob-ka-bob on the couch to getting all primped up in a fuchsia romper and taking on the city by storm. I always think dressing up in something simple but bright is so refreshing. You should really try it sometime.

Casual “Go To” Everyday Outfit

Before we talk about this incredibly comfortable and easy to pull off outfit, I just had to mention the struggle it was taking these photos. Wyatt and I had the busiest day on this particular day. Running errands, heading to appointments and meetings. I actually don’t remember eating on this day because of all the things we needed to accomplish. I really wanted to take these photos regardless of what was going on and when we finally made time, it started to rain. I’ve been having a love-hate relationship with the rainy weather lately. You might be able to tell in these photos that it was raining but we didn’t care. I’m so pleased at how these photos turned out regardless of how complicated our day was. I’m one happy and exhausted blogger.

Okay, let’s talk fashion.

This outfit might be my definition of casual everyday perfection. It has all the special elements that I look for in an outfit. Comfort from my favorite pair of jeans. Boldness from my statement heels. Trendy from my off the shoulder top. I added a fedora because I knew it needed a little something extra. If a look like this can conquer the crazy day that I had then I think that just shows how wearable it is. I will most definitely be wearing this outfit again soon.
