Hoodie

Mustard yellow in a hoodie form? SIGN ME  UP 100 TIMES! I feel so “Colorado” in this little ensemble. I’m sure I’m far from the mark but sometimes it’s okay to want to fit in for a day right? When I think of how people here in Colorado dress, I think of this: Relaxed, Distressed Denim, and Hoodies. I love a good laid-back look, especially on my days off. All I want to wear are my favorite boyfriend jeans and something oversized. I do love how most people in this state can make looking comfortable so chic and interesting. My style has been challenged and continues to grow and evolve the more I move from state to state. Everywhere shows me something new. I can’t wait to see what my next home teaches me.

If you’re in the market for something cuddly, warm, and SUPER CUTE then I think you’re in need of this mustard hoodie. It’s the best of both worlds and just might be my favorite new piece in my closet.

With love,

Blush

IMG_1330 IMG_1342 IMG_1329 IMG_1338 IMG_1334

Hello everyone!

It’s so nice to be sitting here, typing (talking) to you. I don’t prioritize enough time to blog and really connect with you all. I guess that’s what happens when you get a big girl job and start making big girl money huh? Hehe. There’s not enough hours in the day or days in the week to get all of the stuff that I want done AND have a healthy sleep schedule. It’s just not possible for me. I can’t even plan a wedding let alone blog. I hope you guys understand. In the meantime, you can always stay updated and connected with me on my Instagram (@karissamariie) and Snapchat(@karissamariiee).

Let’s stay focused and get back to the beautiful blush colored top in these photos. I don’t own much pink in my closet. I honestly cannot think of ONE true pink item, however, I do love a good peach toned pink. I could rock that all day everyday. I really love the contrast of it with my dark hair. I’ve been told it works really well with my skin tone! So, I’m quite happy about that. And we all know I’m a huge fan of butterfly sleeves. So bouncy. I love it.

I’m going to sign off for now. We’re headed out the door to watch a late night movie. My favorite.

With love,

Holiday Heels

IMG_1287

The bronze heaven gates have opened and these little angels fell from above and landed on my feet. My feet couldn’t be happier and they couldn’t not be more prepped and ready for Holiday. They will make any outfit sparkle and shine. An all black outfit could use a little bronze madness and these bad boys would make the cut.  IMG_1276

When I first pulled these heels out the UPS box, Wyatt was the first one to be like “WOW! Those are so cool.” If a guy like him thinks these shoes are amazing then that speaks volume. I can always count on Wyatt to be honest with me when it comes to what I wear but what I love about me is that I don’t let what he thinks dictate what I wear. What I love about him is that he’s always SO supportive on what I wear, how I do my hair, and whatever else. He’s the cutest and I got his approval on these shoes which is cool. Cool beans. IMG_1279

I mean, check out that subtle crackled detail. These heels are kind of perfect in every way but just one. They are slightly uncomfortable but what high heel isn’t? We have to make sacrifices sometimes and the best sacrifices are those that involve looking good… even if your feet are dying.

Sweater Sweetness

IMG_1170 IMG_1195 IMG_1181 IMG_1203 IMG_1182 IMG_1194

Every year I go a little overboard with the sweater purchases. Every place that I’ve lived has had harsh winters so you can’t blame me for wanting to be a little prepared. I find so much comfort and peace in snuggling up with a good pullover, don’t you? I’ve owned every kind of sweater from fuzzy pink ones to ugly Christmas ones and sometimes it’s just nice to strip down the nonsense and wear a simple cream pullover. Not only is cream chic but it goes with absolutely everything. I can’t think of one tiny thing that this particular sweater doesn’t go with and that’s how you know that you made a good purchase.

Another recent clothing item in my closet that I just can’t stop gushing over is this fun, chevron printed sweater skirt. Teal and a minimal chevron print in one? Sign me up! This pull-on pencil skirt has been my go to piece and preferred silhouette as of lately. I really can’t stop styling different ways to wear them. Pencil skirts have just been my current fashion craving. Heck, I have more on their way in the mail.

Pumpkin Patch

IMG_1138 IMG_1129 IMG_1166_Fotor_Collage IMG_1134 IMG_1140 IMG_1143

I had no idea I would ever be the type to get excited to go to the pumpkin patch. I’ve been dying to go to one since the beginning of October but due to a busy schedule, no sleep, and the sun going down at 5:30pm, I just haven’t been able to. Wyatt and I finally got a day off together since we went to New York in August and we were so thrilled to spend it at a pumpkin patch. We felt like such outcasts because everyone was there with their little families. Wyatt and I have our own little family, just me and him, and we’re happy. We are already planning on having a bigger family of our own very soon so seeing all the nuggets there at the patch was a reminder of what we might possibly have next October and… WE CAN’T WAIT!

Our first day off together began with a short and sweet doctors appointment for me that went very well. Afterwards, we went to our favorite breakfast spot called “Snooze” where I got the best thing on their menu: a breakfast burrito. Mmm. So good. We came straight home and watched a few episodes of our latest addiction, “Sons of Anarchy.” I know, I was surprised just as much as you probably are, but we’re actually liking it so far. I doubt it will be as good as Breaking Bad though. After the show, we took a nap because what is October without a little mid-day nap? Then we got dressed and ready to head to the pumpkin patch! The rest of our evening was spent relaxing in our pj’s (which is my all time favorite thing to do) and eating junk food and watching more television. I can only pray that we continue to have more relaxing days off together. It’s so nice to just recharge with our best friend, isn’t it?

With love,
