Need a Pick Me Up?

I enjoy dressing up in extreme feminine pieces from time to time. Don’t get me wrong, I have a few tom boy pieces in my closet as well, but the first day of September called for this white long skirt and grey tank from Anthropologie. I wasn’t going to argue.

This skirt never fails me by the way. Every time I wear it, I feel so pretty. No shame in that either. Need a pick me up? Put on a pair of shoes, earrings, favorite white tee, skinny jeans that make your behind look like J.LO’s…WHATEVER YOU NEED, to remind yourself that you are beautiful. Because girlfriend, you are. Never doubt that. But also know that you’re  a 10 in those sweat pants and your hair in ponytail. I got your back even when you’re eyebrows aren’t done.

Who knew that Wyatt was such a model? (Swooning over him as I’m typing)

Wyatt and I had a very relaxing/spontaneous date night. Spontaneous because we didn’t plan to have a date night because we are BROKE but then we remembered that his parents gave me a Cheesecake Factory gift card for my birthday. Which, by the way, was literally the most perfect gift. This girl (raised hand to the ceiling) loves food. Right after work we couldn’t wait to get our hands off our new friend the Canon 60D and I have to say that we’re falling more and more in love it as each second passes. Still learning how to use it. We ask our photographer buddies every chance we get some of the questions we’re having. Oh, and Wyatt wants to become a photographer now (add that to the list of occupations he’s tried) and I am all for it. Seeing him with the officiall Canon strap around his neck is the cutest thing ever. He’s good at basically everything so why not. Hope you liked this “His & Hers” outfit post. Hopefully this can inspire YOUR man that dressing cute can be effortless. I mean, throwing on a plain black tee and converse sounds good to me.

Fall Colors, Summer Vibe

I didn’t intend for this to be an outfit post. These were the first pictures messing with my new bad ass camera and they actually turned out decent. I wore this little get up to work and got lots of compliments. Pairing a dress over jeans will always be a fun thing for me. I’ll be doing this a lot since fall is quickly approaching. Well I’m back into blogging mode and I could not be more excited. This time around, I’ll be doing more than just outfit posts. Why? Because there’s so much more to me than just my clothes. I’m not exactly sure what that is yet, but just expect more lifestyle posts than normal. Thanks for following me on this journey for those that have still stuck around. Means the world.

Life in Color

I’M BACK. And I’m back for good. This post means so much to me, more than most of the posts I’ve ever written, because I finally took the leap of faith and bought a camera that I absolutely ADORE. I’m still trying to figure it all out and it will most definitely be a learning process but I am so excited for all the possibilities ahead of me. I’m now living my life in color, no more black and white. I just turned 20 (that’s a whole ‘nother post by the way) but I’ve really had my own epiphany. Wyatt and I have made a pact to be the best us we can be. To live more and do more because we only have one shot at this life. We made some 2014 goals and even some weekly goals (I encourage everyone to try it out) that we write down in a notebook and some we even hang on the wall to remind us that WE CAN DO IT, small or big, goals are goals and we need to experience everything life has to offer. So, my friends, you will be seeing a lot more of me now. Hope that’s okay with you. Share. Write. Take pictures. Engage. Love and let love in.
