Chartreuse & Tulle

IMG_1008 IMG_1012 IMG_1015 IMG_1027 IMG_1037 IMG_1043-2Hey guess what? You know that neon vomite green color, otherwise known as chartreuse? Well, it’s my favorite color of all time. I’ve said this before but unique colors are my favorite. I get all sorts of happy when I see this color. Weird? Ya…a little. I know I wear this skirt all the time but thats because it goes with ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. There’s not one thing that can look bad when its paired with this tulle skirt. I wish I could tell you all wear to buy one but I got this years ago at a lovely boutique in Durango, CO. I’ve never looked back. It’s one of those pieces that I will never ever get rid of, even if you paid me. It’s too stunning and I’ve made way too many memories in it. When I’m in any sort of doubt, I run to this little guy. He has my back that’s for sure. Also, I’ve been very impressed with the H&M Fall Collection this year. I’ve bought more from them this year than ever before. It’s still not my absolute favorite place to shop but they do have great pieces that aren’t too expensive if you’re on a budget like me. This top, for example, is under $50 AND I get loads of compliments when I wear it. Not too mention it’s real cozy. That’s an A+ in my book.

Xoxo,

Karissa

The Perfect Dress

IMG_1617 IMG_1628 IMG_1641 IMG_1656 IMG_1658 IMG_1662 IMG_1671 IMG_1672Are you looking for the perfect dress? You can stop searching my lady because it’s right here. You’re welcome. I think everyone and their mother owns this Anthropologie dress. I feel like I see it everywhere. My favorite fashion bloggers rock this dress all the time. It’s even more beautiful in person, trust me. It’s truly one of those dresses that you can wear all year long. I’m constantly searching for new ways to wear it because I wear it so often. Adding this mustard yellow bomber and belt made this baby doll dress a little more fall appropriate and a little more fun. This dress caught my eye because it reminds me of my Spanish heritage. I feel like I can wear this dancing to spanish music while cooking green chili enchiladas in the kitchen with my mama. Muy Bonita!

Xoxo, Karissa

| Cropped Sweaters with Dresses |The New Thing

IMG_1074IMG_1094 IMG_1077 IMG_1078 IMG_1082 IMG_1085 IMG_1086

My new favorite thing to do is wear sweaters over dresses. A cropped sweater is even better to pair with a flowy dress like this one. It’s one of the newest and easiest trends this fall. Why get rid of all your summer dresses when all you have to do is pair it with some jeans, boots, and throw on a cardi? Innovation at its best ladies. This post is a more girly take on this Anthropologie cropped sweater but trust me I have a post coming soon for all you tomboyish peeps out there. Just don’t forget to Subscribe or like my Facebook page to keep updated with all things Karissa Marie!

Tip of the Day! Play around with your wardrobe, look at your older pieces and merge them into your newer ones. All of the possibilities will surprise you. Have fun with what you have and try not to stress about buying more clothes because trust me, I’m sure you have plenty. Blast some music and put on a fashion show for yourself. I’m sure you’ll come up with some great outfit ideas! But in the meantime, here’s some inspiration.

xoxo,

Karissa

Magazines & Converse

IMG_1238IMG_1240IMG_1256 IMG_1250IMG_1258 IMG_1279 IMG_1280Easily the two things that I can’t live without most days. My magazine and my pair of converse shoes. It’s funny because they both seem completely opposite from one another but that’s just me. I’m a little bit of everything. I get most of my inspiration from fashion magazines. That’s the main reason I’d love to work for one some day. I find some sort of idea on every page. Whether it’s fashion, makeup, hair or even life tips, you can find it all in one small book. Magazines are sacred. It takes a lot for me to throw one away because it’s like throwing away diamonds. Too much beauty in one small thing. Look at me, I’m such a fashion blogger. Whatever, I like what I like okay? I couldn’t imagine a life without em. There’s something magical when I throw on my pair of dirty converse after wearing my Zara heels all day and hopping on the couch and reading a magazine. It’s my happy place for sure. It’s my way of saying “DO NOT DISTURB,” I’m in my own little world.

XOXO,

Karissa

Girls Love Their Polka Dots

IMG_1169IMG_1144 IMG_1146 IMG_1148 IMG_1162 IMG_1164 IMG_1170This outfit may be perfect for fall but I’m a dummy and wore it on a day that felt like summer. Denver won’t make up its mind. It’s 90 degrees one day and 50 degrees the next. This outfit is slightly out of my comfort zone. I say “slightly” because I would honestly wear just about anything but I’m just someone who loves her bold and boxy outfits way more than the flow-ey, relaxed silhouettes. (Actually, it depends on the day. I have fashion bipolar disorder.) I like my straight edges and this outfit is definitely “hippy-er” than what I’m used to. With that said, I’m always incorporating femininity into my looks. I’m a girly girl and we all know that. This girly skirt has been in my closet for I don’t even know how long. I don’t reach for it often but when I do, it never disappoints. Girls love their polka dots. Why? Because polka dots are like sunshine. That’s why.

Karissa
