Snakeskin

There’s something so fashion forward about a snakeskin print. I only ever buy something in this particular print if it’s special and combined with good, solid material. There’s a fine line between tacky snakeskin and classy snakeskin…you really don’t want to cross that line because sometimes you can’t come back from that. I fell in love with this dress because of it’s scuba-like material and fit and flare silhouette. The exposed zip in the back is a nice touch too.

By the way, these orange shoes are life.

Orange Red

I had been eyeing this bright orange red dress for awhile now. I ended up snagging it on mega sale at Anthropologie recently and I haven’t been able to take my eyes off of it. It shines so bright in my closet along with my other bright orange pieces. I’m starting to see a theme here. It’s easily my all time favorite color to wear.

Wyatt and I went to some festival in downtown Denver and ran off to shoot these photos before the sun went down. We brought Finley along for the adventure because we read that taking him out and about is healthy. He needs to socialize. Nearly every person that passed had to come up and say hi. I’m happy to share the puppy breath and sweet kisses but sometimes enough is enough! Just kidding, but really though, he draws a lot of attention on himself. He can’t help it…he’s that cute.

Summer Street Style

Summer is in full swing and I couldn’t be happier about it. Summer style is my favorite because I’m not a fan of hiding behind coats. I love wearing dresses, showing off some skin, and feeling free. Colorful patterns and the sunshine are the perfect pair and never go out of style. If you took your eyes off of adorable Finley for one second and noticed my mini dress, you will find that this dress is the epitome of summer. I could see myself wearing this to brunch with a cardigan or out with girlfriends paired with a leather jacket…Or all on it’s own with some statement shoes and a peach colored backpack that I absolutely adore.

I just think: I’m young and I might as well rock a mini dress once in awhile while I can ya know? My husband approves and absolutely loves it when I show confidence in my body and in myself.

Red, White & Chic

Happy Happy Fourth of July guys!

I hope you are all enjoying your camping, barbecues, and sparklers today. This weekend is one of my favorite weekends of the year. I’m bummed I wasn’t able to plan anything this time around but Wyatt and I are good at making the best of it. All I ask for is a yummy hot dog and nice firework show. Here’s my very last minute 4th of July outfit that I picked up just the other day. Again, this holiday really snuck up on me this year. I need to get better at planning. In a just a few short weeks I’ll have more time on my hands to finally have a little freedom and do more of the things that I’ve always wanted to do. I can’t wait.

Little White Dress

This summer heats calls for a summer mini dress.

I’ve only been comfortable in dresses as of lately. They’re really the only thing that this heat calls for. I love to remain minimal and just let the dress do all of the talking. I’ll throw in a bright clutch here and there but for the most part, it’s summer and less is more! My all time favorite feature of this dress are the tassels on the shoulder. LOVE!

Since cutting my hair I’ve stayed away from everything that’s too bulky on my shoulder area because it makes me feel disproportioned. Too avoid feeling like this I’ve been connecting more with sleeveless, halter and mock neck shaped tops. I’ve sadly stayed away from my blazers and favorite boxy silhouettes. Hey, we all have insecurities and mine just happens to be that I don’t want my body to feel bigger and oddly disproportioned to my head okay!
