Minimal + Comfy Spring Look

Hello sweet friends! I’m featuring this minimal outfit TWICE on my blog because its just that good and I didn’t mention these pieces enough in the previous post. I also figured I would accessorize slightly to bring the look together. I really cannot get enough of these jeans, flared to perfection at the bottom, paired with this off the shoulder knitted top. L O V E! I’ve really been loving minimal attire paired with nude colored accessories. I’ve just really been needing to feel simple yet beautiful and this outfit did exactly that. I also felt good and surprisingly confident about showing off my mom curves for the first time since delivering. I can thank these jeans for that. I really needed an extra boost of “DAMN GIRL.”

I mean, don’t we all?

Starting New

Hello my dear readers. They say after you experience a traumatic loss you should try and get back to your normal routine. So here I am. Blogging is my safe place. I feel at home here, typing to you. There’s no way I can ever fully recover after losing my two boys but the very best thing I can do for myself is to get up, get dressed and do the little things that make my soul feel at ease. I don’t know where this strength within me came from. I like to think that my Asa and Armie are the reason behind it all. They’re here with me, pushing me along and I owe my life to them and the love they give me. Each step I take, no matter where this life takes me, no matter how happy I may seem in my Instagram posts… I’m thinking of them.

So here I am. I’m starting new. I saw darkness like I never saw it before. I felt pain and heartache I can’t even begin to speak of but I’m here now: Broken and patched up as best as I know how.

Thank you for your prayers. I feel them all.

Bomber Season

It’s bomber season y’all. The leaves are changing, the temperature is plummeting and it’s time to focus on those layering pieces that keep you chic and warm. I’ve recently been loving this puffy bomber trend going around. Not that I need more jackets in my wardrobe but I’m happy to participate nonetheless. I love the fierceness of this jacket that holds just a touch girly-ness. It gives a little BOOM-POW to girly girl in all of us!

Hey, We’re Golden

Golden hours and gilded leaves. When I think of Fall, I immediately think GOLD. Metallics have been hot for awhile and I’m not talking the 14 Karat kind that dangles around your neck, nope, I’m talking about this $40 Missguided dress. It’s luxurious and trendy and you won’t be breaking the bank when rocking it around the city. When paired with khaki or other neutral colors, this glimmering shade becomes even more brilliant.

With metallic being all the rage this season, there’s no need to save your flashy pieces for after dark. Bring your shimmer and shine out into the daylight for everyone to see. This reflective, multicolored top caught the attention of many. If you’re goal is to stop traffic, I think this trend is for you.
