Casual Holiday Outfit

IMG_9653 IMG_9652 IMG_9661 IMG_9646 IMG_9644 IMG_9659 IMG_9647With Independence Day coming up, I wanted to show my excitement and support but in the most understated and minimal kind of way. A lot of people love to dress up in the obvious classic red, white and blue (me being one of the them) but this year I decided to go for a more laid-back kind of look. Nothing says “I’m ready for hot dogs, barbecue, summer drinks and back yard chillin” like boyfriend jeans and a midi top. Am I right? Every year around the 4th of July, I usually go for the obvious choice of a bright red dress or stripes from head to toe but since I’ll be spending this holiday moving into my new place (Yes, I’m moving again. I cannot stay in one place.) I’d much rather be comfortable in my converse than all dressed up and no where to go. I’m very excited to be spending my holiday with my one and only, watching the fireworks on our rooftop and just enjoying each other’s company, like always.

Everyone have a fabulous and safe 4th of July.

Oh Boy, Another Jumpsuit

IMG_9635 IMG_9630 IMG_9628 IMG_9640 IMG_9634 IMG_9631 IMG_9632I have added yet another jumpsuit to my jumpsuit collection. The spandex-jersey material on this one makes it by far one of the comfiest jumpsuits that I own. I could easily confuse it with loungewear because of it’s exceptional comfort factor. Day after day, I search for more and more prints and more and more patterns of jumpsuits that I can add to my wardrobe. Obsessed is an understatement. I live in jumpsuits because they are the easiest to dress up or down. The elastic band that holds this jumpsuit together is so breathable that I could easily rock this outfit in the future when I’m pregnant (minus the belt, of course.) At first, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the print but after awhile I realized it’s okay to go with neutral colors and leave my lipstick responsible for the pop of statement color. I’ll be wearing this outfit to work then date night (and maybe even to sleep) because it’s that comfortable and movable. What I love the most about this look is my new favorite necklace that I have been eyeing for weeks. Since the moment I finally decided to purchase this jeweled beauty I have been going above and beyond to find tops and dresses that match. I think this jumpsuit was made for this necklace leaving the entire look with a tropical, summer vibe.

Who doesn’t love that?

That 70’s Skirt

IMG_9526 IMG_9534 IMG_9543 IMG_9546 IMG_9541 IMG_9533 IMG_9527This post is for those minimal but trendy ladies out there. I always love adding easy, breezy outfits to my blog because it’s very likely that you own similar pieces in your own closets. I’m sure you have a grey crop top and denim skirt… and if you don’t, you should because they are all the rage right now. The 70’s styled denim skirt is so popular at the moment, every store has recently came out with their own versions of it. I also see them every single time I check my Instagram. I feel like I belong on a modern day version of “That 70’s Show.”

One thing I do recommend if you choose to be inspired by this outfit post is to LEAVE THE LEATHER JACKET AT HOME. It was 80 something degrees outside and I was close to having a heat stroke while taking these pictures. I just wanted the jacket for dramatic effect but I nearly died. (Exaggeration is my specialty, can you tell?)

Have a fabulous day! See you next time!

With Love,

Romper Madness

IMG_9438 IMG_9435 IMG_9434 IMG_9443 IMG_9436 IMG_9439 IMG_9433IMG_9431I have that romper madness syndrome. I can’t do summer without rompers and that’s just a fact. When the sun is blazing, the last thing I want to do is figure out a chic outfit from head to toe. I’d much rather throw on a simple romper, possibly add a belt if I’m in the mood and head out the door. This romper is the perfect summer piece you just have to add to your closet. People thought that this outfit was a top and a bottom but little did they know that I didn’t try that hard. I think that’s what rompers are all about. They give the illusion that you really care but in reality, you don’t. In fact, I’m wearing a romper as I write this post. I’m just obsessed.

These pictures are a little bright to notice the fabulous detailing of the top portion of this romper. The best way for me to describe it is like an eyelet lace type of fabric. Click the link the below to see this detailing for yourself. Beware, you might fall in love.

Pretty Woman

IMG_9456 IMG_9484 IMG_9447 IMG_9465 IMG_9483 IMG_9460 IMG_9451How could I pass up a chance to be Julia Roberts on the movie, “Pretty Woman” for a day? I remember watching this movie when I was little with my mom and ever since then I have been on the hunt for the perfect polka dot dress. I tried my best to transform the infamous 1990’s outfit to more of a modern day, minimal look with a sleek leather jacket and hair in a low bun. I had no idea that I would be one to purchase a brown colored dress. I don’t think I own any brown clothing to be honest. It’s just not the most flattering color to wear but when you throw in some polka dots here and there, it’s automatically chic. I can’t wait to add more browns to my collection. I hope more people hop on this trend because it’s so unique.

Not only is the color of this dress out of my comfort zone but the low back feature is a whole ‘nother story. I NEVER buy anything with a low back because that just means finding a bra to wear them with. I’d rather be comfy and wear my normal bra than be uncomfortable in a back baring ensemble. I decided to take the risk and purchase this dress anyway because why not. I think I was so drawn to the fact that it reminded me so much of “Pretty Woman” I was blinded by the low back. I found a sticky bra (that’s surprisingly comfortable) and all my problems were solved.

I don’t think you understand how satisfied I feel knowing that I own a brown polka dot dress. Feeling like a pretty woman in this dress is a understatement…that’s for sure.
