Vintage Shopping

Wyatt and I did an impromptu photo shoot right outside the most epic pop-up vintage fashion market in Brooklyn where I met THEE Stacy London from “What Not To Wear.” She was incredible by the way, so humble and kind. Fun Fact: When I was young I would watch “What Not To Wear” over and over and it was the first time I decided that I wanted a future in fashion.

It was a rainy day in Brooklyn. Every step was a puddle. If you look closely you can see raindrops in these photos, frozen in time. I loved this day of exploring Brooklyn with my husband. I love rainy days! It makes me feel less guilty about wanting to stay inside and watch movies all day. It’s been proven, no matter what miraculous city I live in, I will always remain a homebody.

An Autumn Story

img_58444 img_5832 img_5794 img_5867 img_5779 img_58255 img_5831

Rich magentas and deep olive greens go hand in hand to create the perfect Autumn story. We shot these pictures after a freezing rainstorm in New York City that we thought would never end. Once the sun finally came out, we were relieved to see the sky again. It was the perfect sunset moment that we had to capture. I’m in love with the way theses photos turned out regardless of the hard hitting wind and cold temperatures. It helps to have a hottie husband behind the camera.

Blogger Life

img_5558 img_5541 img_5576 img_5554 img_5539In the midst of expanding my blogging career as well as a career outside of blogging, I’m juggling many other things like:

1.)Being a wife. Although rewarding and beautiful, it’s not an easy task.

2.)Being a fur mama. (Just kidding, this one is the best responsibility filled with kisses and games of fetch.)

3.) Living in New York. They weren’t kidding when they said you have HUSTLE. I’ve taken on many miscellaneous sides jobs and participated in many money making apps just to pay the rent. New York is not for the weak.

4.)Struggling with my mental illness. (Ew, I’m not the biggest fan of the word “illness” but however you would like to phrase it, depression and anxiety is a pain.) I’ve been in between medications amongst other health related set backs that have really taken a toll on my happiness as well as my overall experience in New York. Everyday is a struggle, whether it’s getting out of bed, fighting back tears, or just learning how to breathe. Because of this I know I’m one tough cookie.

5.)Socializing. You would be surprised how hard it is to make friends in such a big city. It would be much easier if I had a specific job where I was surrounded by like-minded people my age but, unfortunately, that’s not the case for me. I JUST WANT MORE FRIENDS. Friends are everything and you can never have too many.

6.)Being so far away from home. I’ve done really well so far when it comes to being overwhelmed from missing my family back home. I have moments where I spend hours looking at old pictures of my nieces and nephews. I’ll replay videos of them over and over again just find some peace in this crazy ridiculous city of mine. I’ve made sure to call my mom AT LEAST once a day. I don’t even know what we talk about anymore but we love to hear each others voices. Living in NYC would be so much easier if I had my family here. The sacrifices we make to achieve our dreams and tackle our bucket lists.

Blogging is my safe place. My peace of mind lies behind this keyboard where I connect with the world with one touch of a button. My love for Fashion Blogging is within in the process: The photo-shoots, the editing, the writing, the networking. Every bit of it makes my heart happy. Regardless on the number of likes or the amount of views…This blog is has been one of the best things to have happened to me.

I love it and I love you.

Remember that.

I’ve Got A Crush

img_5443 img_5513 img_5482_fotor_collage img_5490 img_5435

I’ve got a crush, a crush on crushed velvet that is.

Sometimes it can be tough keeping up with trends, staying on top of what’s hot and what’s not but this crushed velvet trend won’t be too hard to find because it’s absolutely everywhere at the moment. This Fall 2016 trend is taking over and not leaving anytime soon. Heavy textures and rich colors will transform your closet this season. Go ahead and hop on this bandwagon because you won’t regret it.

With metallic being all the rage this season, there’s no need to save your flashy pieces for after dark. Bring your shimmer and shine out into the daylight for everyone to see. This reflective, multicolored top caught the attention of many. If you’re goal is to stop traffic, I think this trend is for you. Whether it’s silver or gold accents you prefer, you can count on rocking this trend all through the holiday season. It’s almost October ladies. Go get you some SHIMMA-SHIMMA!
