Street Look Stripes

Clean and precise stripes will take any city by storm.

I may or may not feel like a fashion referee or like a giant shoe lace in this get up but that’s okay. Sometimes being bold and standing out in the crowd isn’t always a bad thing. Lately I have been having a blast experimenting with pattern while still keeping my minimalist edge. Stripes in every form have been my “go to” lately, from dresses to tops to even denim: I can’t get enough of it.

I get a lot of my inspiration from We Wore What. Danielle has a way of making minimal outfitting a bit more fashion forward. She’s my current fashion icon when it comes to everyday street style. I think her biggest secret is confidence which is something that I have to work on daily. You’re not human if you no longer have any insecurities, am I right ladies?

Casual Date Night Outfit

The recipe for the perfect date night starts with the perfect date night outfit. Depending on the adventure, I typically like to shoot for something casual and trendy. I wanted room to eat so I sported my new favorite shift dress along with my new mules. Oh, I can’t forget the girly touch of red lipstick either.

Every week Wyatt and I make it a priority to spend quality time with each other since we don’t see each other as much as we’d like during the week. We map out our night from start to finish and enjoy every second. This date night in particular was one of m favorites. We tried new things, went to new places, laughed and laughed some more. I swear, I fall more in love with Wyatt everyday. He’s a good one. I treated Wyatt out to some BBQ. We tried a new hot spot called Carve BBQ. It was delicious. Afterwards, he treated me to some Bonnie Brae’s ice-cream because he knows the way to my heart. We talked life and love and ended the night with some Netflix. I’ve got him hooked on Grey’s Anatomy.

I sure do love date night.

A Darling Denim Deal

The day has finally arrived. My all time favorite denim skirt is on sale! Catch it now before it gets sold out. You will not regret it. Denim skirts whether midi, flared, distressed can make our make or break an outfit. Anyone remember the awful year 2000 mini skirts or the 80’s denim skirt? Yeesh. Denim skirts have come a long way but my friends, I can’t go a week without wearing one. I love tucking in my favorite t-shirts and blouses into them and finishing the outfit off with some stylish heels. Instagram Mules

Struggling to find the perfect all-year-round bootie was an understatement. I’ve looked high and low for some comfortable, every-day heeled booties and the searching came to a screeching halt when I found these beauties on the internet. I had the chance to purchase these mules a long time ago but my size sold out instantly. Finally, 8 months later the website decides to restock them. Took them long enough. Once they came in the mail I realized that they are ten times more comfortable than I had imagined. I love the peep toe action, the color, the height. They bring such confidence and poise to every outfit. FINALLY! A chic shoe that I can trust.

Dressed To Impress

Happy Friday!

Or maybe not so much. I’ve spent the day sick in bed so since I’m already here on my laptop watching Grey’s Anatomy, I wanted to put up a blog post. My runny nose and all wanted to say hi. So…hi.

Typing, writing, blogging, journaling: all of these things can be the best remedy when you’re feeling down. Another way I like to stay upbeat and cheerful is by dressing up. I don’t know why it is but putting on my favorite red lipstick and sliding into a chic dress makes feel all brand new again. I don’t dress to impress others, I dress to impress myself. To remind myself that I’m good enough, I’m beautiful and I’m worth it. Sometimes that’s all a girl needs is to feel confident and good about themselves. Us women should empower each other more, rather than pick apart our imperfections. The one thing I cannot stand more than anything is negativity. Positivity and good energy is what I like to surround myself with. That and a good pair of heels.

The chic design of this dress made me feel like a winner. I wore this on a date night out with my soon to be husband and I loved being in it every second of the night. I also did not feel guilty chowing down a massive hamburger because the cut of the dress is made perfect for a full belly. I can’t wait to bring this number on my honeymoon, wherever that may be. Wyatt planned the honeymoon from start to finish and I won’t know where we are going until we get the airport. It better be warm and I better be done with this cold.
