Hello everyone!

It’s so nice to be sitting here, typing (talking) to you. I don’t prioritize enough time to blog and really connect with you all. I guess that’s what happens when you get a big girl job and start making big girl money huh? Hehe. There’s not enough hours in the day or days in the week to get all of the stuff that I want done AND have a healthy sleep schedule. It’s just not possible for me. I can’t even plan a wedding let alone blog. I hope you guys understand. Let’s stay focused and get back to the beautiful blush colored top in these photos. I don’t own much pink in my closet. I honestly cannot think of ONE true pink item, however, I do love a good peach toned pink. I could rock that all day everyday. I really love the contrast of it with my dark hair. I’ve been told it works really well with my skin tone! So, I’m quite happy about that. And we all know I’m a huge fan of butterfly sleeves. So bouncy. I love it.

I’m going to sign off for now. We’re headed out the door to watch a late night movie. My favorite.

Chunky Sweater Weather

Could it be? Could it be that it’s officially that time of chunky sweater weather, hot chocolate and pumpkin pie? YES IT IS. We wait all year long for these cozy moments and in an instant they’re gone. Christmas is just two months from today and that’s just hard for me to take in. I barely had a chance to soak in the beautiful fall trees. It’s like they were here for a weekend and left. Regardless of how fast Fall goes, I’ll be soaking it in, every chilly breath at a time. It’s time to get cozy and to get comfy because that’s the name of the game when it comes to outfitting in Autumn. I do not accept anything less or more as long as I am comfortable because there is nothing worse than being un-comfy and cold. NOTHING.

Alexa Chung Inspired

Alexa Chung is not only a modern day muse but one of my biggest fashion inspirations. Along with Miroslava Duma, We Wore What and many many others, Alexa Chung is on the list of influencers for us fashion bloggers. There are many qualities and talents that she possesses but the most recent is becoming a fashion designer. She’s collaborated with Anthropologie before and each time I’m blown away by the structure and 70’s chic design. She’s famous for center buttons and bringing back denim.

So here I am sporting my Alexa Chung inspired denim shirtdress for nearly half the price. I love it when that happens. The website paired these rust colored suede booties with it and I couldn’t resist. Why just buy the dress when you can buy the whole package. October Green

Oh, I love how versatile the color moss green is. I have more green in my closet than the average fashion lover and I’m sure of it. My favorite colors this past year have been moss green and burnt orange if you haven’t been able to tell already. I had no idea I would fall in love with this turtleneck as much I have. I’ve worn it every week since I purchased it because it’s just so easy to throw on and feel chic. More importantly it’s easy to dress up or down. I really wish it came in every single color ever made because I would financially support that decision.

I know it may be October and officially fall time but I’m just not ready to bust out my boots. It’s still too warm outside to put my feet in a sauna okay? I decided to keep things casual and airy with my favorite leopard espadrilles.

Retro In The City

One of the many many MANY reasons that I love New York City is that you can dress up head to toe and have a photo shoot in the middle of the street and no one even blinks an eye. I got a few stares but none compared to the ones that I get in Denver. It’s like “Have you never seen anyone take a photo before?” Geez. It’s totally the norm in NYC to vlog and take pictures. I felt completely fine whipping out my camera and talking to myself. I was also “in the zone” when taking blog pictures, I wasn’t uncomfortable at all. I felt totally myself and accepted. That’s what New York is all about isn’t it? Ugh. I cannot wait for the day that I call NYC my home.

It’s time to get my head out of the clouds and back to real life. I haven’t had a phone for over two days now, which might explain my lack of Instagram posts and annoying snapchats. I dropped my phone in the toilet and no that’s not the first time I’ve ever done that. Anyways, my phone is toast and I’m waiting on my replacement one to come in which might be a little bit. So, that’s my life right now. I’ll be honest, being without a phone has been kind of amazing. It’s so refreshing not knowing what is going on in the world. I kind of recommend you throwing your phone in the toilet. I had no idea how much I needed to get away from the internet and the constant connection from people. I feel lighter. I might need to do this more often. 😉
