Sweet Spring

IMG_2230 IMG_2264 IMG_2261 IMG_2241 IMG_2259

I’m sure I’ve written this before but Spring is my all-time favorite season. There are many reasons as to why Spring is my favorite, the biggest one being flowers. B-L-O-O-M. It’s like world is awaken again and everything gets a fresh start. What’s not to love about that? Tulips are my absolute favorite pick-me-up. Whenever I need a little boost, my favorite thing to do is go to a flower shop and just go crazy. I currently have all sorts of floral arrangements sprinkled around the house because a girl can’t ever have too many flowers. (Hint Hint Wyatt.) I cannot wait to have a garden of my own someday because I know deep down inside I have a little green thumb.

Dresses feel extra special when worn in the Spring time as well. This dress in particular I’m bringing with me on our honeymoon. I think it’s design and structure is so cool. I don’t own anything like it in my closet. The button-back is my favorite feature, not to mention it’s beautifully fitting. I’ll probably wear this exact outfit, from the straw hat to the strappy white flats on our special vacation because I felt like something out of a movie. A love a good classic, lady-like look.

Black & White

Hello There!

We are 41 days away from the wedding and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s been exhausting, frustrating, time consuming and I’m just looking forward to being Wyatt’s Mrs once and for all. My life is consumed by unread emails, missed phone calls, 40 hours of exhausting work life and I’ve been having the hardest time catching up. I miss my blog, my friends, the sunshine and quality time with my Fiancé. May 1st, after the wedding and the honeymoon are over I’m going to reevaluate my priorities and make some big changes because this happy camper hasn’t been happy in a long time. Life is way too short to settle.

My necklace, my favorite necklace of all time is from Olio Goods. A fellow co-worker of mine is too talented beyond words. Her work is inspiring and original. I’m honored to rock her horse hair necklaces nearly everyday. Please check out her shop! You won’t regret it.

With love,

Santa Monica Girl

IMG_1933 IMG_1974 IMG_1954 IMG_1963 IMG_1978 IMG_1931 IMG_1968

Wyatt and I recently booked a much needed trip to Los Angeles where we got to visit our future wedding venue, dip our toes into the ocean and eat lots of delicious seafood. I got about a week of vacation time at the last minute so I begged and begged Wyatt to go to California. His initial response was no but I didn’t take no for an answer. He finally agreed to go when I mentioned how important it is for our sanity to step away from our everyday work lives and focus on us. It was, no joke, one of my favorite trips ever. We made every single moment memorable. That’s why I love doing life with him.

When I was a California girl for just a few days, I made sure to wear what all of favorite California bloggers were wearing: Camel colored pieces and denim midi-skirts. These key items are all the rage right now, and in my opinion, will never go out of style.

I can’t wait to go back in April to marry the man of my dreams!

With love,

Karissa Marie

Conversationalist Button-down

IMG_17411 IMG_1704 IMG_1738 IMG_1706 IMG_1710 IMG_1701

This top is a conversation starter, that’s for sure. I’ve loved on this button-down for the past month-making sure that I wear it a thousand times before it goes out of season. The funny thing is, I don’t ski or snowboard one bit, but I love the print. Since I let go of statement prints a long time ago, I’m hesitant when I purchase anything too wild or “young” but this top is perfect for me. It’s subtle enough, it’s unique enough and most importantly- it’s comfy enough. I love layering it underneath solid sweatshirts or dresses or just with my favorite pair of jeans. “That skier shirt” will go down as my all-time favorite holiday piece.

Xoxo,

Karissa Marie

Cozy Days

IMG_1667 IMG_1684 IMG_1675 IMG_1637IMG_1636

Merry Christmas Eve my friends. What a wonderful year it has been and I hope all of you can say the same. Wyatt and I have had a blast decorating our tree and making home feel so festive and warm. From hitting up Target and going Christmas tree shopping, we made each moment such an adventure. I’m so happy and blessed to share this life with him and create traditions of our own. One way I’ve been staying cozy this holiday season is with this single color co-ordinate outfit. I picked up this casual outfit at Zara, my all time favorite place, and haven’t looked back since. I’ve been so in love with browns lately. I’ve added more brown in my wardrobe in the past month than in my entire life. I’ve been really inspired by the way Kanye and his fashion line can make neutrals looks so good.

That’s all for now. I hope everyone has a blessed Christmas with loved ones. Guard your heart and do whatever you need to do to stay positive and happy because there’s a lot of unneeded hate in this world and a lot of negative people in our ears. All we can do is pray for those that don’t know the meaning of love and humility.

God Bless!

With love,
